Supper......followed by desert and tea or coffee. This is what is

A historic walk led by a professional guide concentrating on
Victorian History, Geography, Architecture and the Textile Industry in
Saltaire - the village created by Sir Titus Salt. We will travel by minibus from
Malton. There will be plenty of time to explore the Salt's Mill after
the walk. Full details and a booking form will be available on the Ryedale

limited to 17 persons including driver.
Friday 7th May 2010
Ryedale Walking Group will present "An Evening with Alfred
Wainwright" at Pickering Memorial Hall. This is a dramatic presentation by
Wainwright lookalike John Burland of
The
Wainwright Society on the life of the famous walker and writer. John
takes us on a journey through AW's life against a backdrop of Lakeland
scenes. We will hear about how the Lakeland Pictorial Guides were
created and how and why AW conceived the Coast to Coast walk. Tickets are £5 and
will be available from
Trailblazer
Outdoors in early April. Proceeds from the event will go to the
Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team.
Saturday 26th June 2010 3.00 am from Pickering
Our experienced long distance walker Martin will lead a
crossing from first light of the famous 40 mile
Lyke Wake Walk with
Penny organising support. If you want to do the ultimate challenge walk of the North
York Moors then this is it. Volunteer helpers are also needed to provide
support. The walk is open to non members of the group. Further details
